Description

Bitumen pumps, like Steimel pumps, are used in asphalt mixing plants for continuous or batch production of asphalt. They can also fill and drain bitumen tanks and handle crack repairs in asphalt.

Information

Bitumen pumps have designs such as gear pumps or rotary lobe pumps and operate with flow rates up to 3,400 cm³/rev, maximum pressure of 8 bar, and temperatures up to 250 °C. They offer options for electric or thermal oil heating, a pressure relief valve, and are constructed with case-hardened steel rotors and grey cast iron housing parts.
